This will be a fun list for more. There are a lot of games dropping in 2025 that I am excited to play. I’m going to list out my top 10 most anticipated games on my own steam wish list. I’ll list them in the order of least to greatest level of anticipation Number 10 will be the most anticipated game on my steam wish list

Hawthorn

Hawthorn, is a cozy RPG about woodland animals. I have one reason this gaming is on my list. I want to be a mouse ridding an owl, that’s it. Besides that, this games does seems to have an “all-star” dev team with member from Bethesda, BioWare, and Naughty Dog studios.

ArcheAge Chronicles

This one will be higher up on others lists but in my case ArcheAge Chronicles doesn’t make the cut. It’s an ambitious MMO, I have a problem with ambitious MMOs. I have tried a lot of MMOs in my day. Most MMOs flop when compared to the great World of Warcraft or even Guild wars 2. Just take Amazons “New world” and Carbine Studios “Wild star”. That being said, I like the way the combat looks in the game play trailer. The combat seems like a cross between the witcher 3 and a faster pace souls game. The skills system is said to be extremely in depth. I have also read the same about the magic system. These three things caught my attentions and help put this game on my wish list.

Windstorm: The Legend of Khiimori

Windstorm: The Legend of Khiimori look like a cross between breath of the wild, horizon zero dawn, and a horse ranch sim. This is actually the third installment of Windstorm. The first two games were horse riding sims.
How did this game make it onto my list? The setting of the game is new, “13th century Mongolia”, it intrigued me. It has historic fantasy RPG elements, with what is said to be an in-depth system for breeding and training your horses. It’s unique, if it is executed correctly it can be a game worth some time.

Den of Wolves

From the creators of PAYDAY and PAYDAY 2 count me in! Den of Wolves looks like a futuristic version of PAYDAY mixed with some snatch and grab, loot and scoot, and even some kill missions. The reason this game is not higher up on my list is the core gameplay looks similar to the PAYDAY games. I’m worried it will just be a payday re-skin with no new features. Time will tell as the launch get closer and more info comes out.

Jump Ship

This game looks like a blast to play with some friends. It has spaceship combat, ship maintenance, jet packs, and just all around chaotic energy. I can foresee this gaming leading to a yelling matches in your discord because everything is escalating to quickly, someone for got to put out a fire, someone left a door open, all the robots and aliens are on the ship and its to late. I’m excited to play this game with my friends and see what kind of trouble we get ourselves into. Here is a video of Jackfrags and his mates playing.

Space Craft

Factorio in space is all I can think of when I see this game. Sure there is Satisfactory but Space Craft isn’t just one planet like Satisfactory, it’s whole Galaxy! It’s like No Man Sky and Factorio had a baby and named it Space Craft. A few things that stick out to me are the size of the game, the ship building, and the “interplanetary logistics”. I can see myself spending hours trying to fine tune my galaxy.

Escape from duckov

I like rouge likes and I like Tarkov what more do I need from a game. EFD looks like someone had a lot of fun with the idea of escape from tarkov. Ducks in a tarkov style top down games sound like a great time. I would like to see some pvp in this games but I’m still excited to give the full game a try. Check out the demo on steam.

Slay the spire 2

I have 113.8 hours on the original game on steam and probably other 100 or more on my phone. If slay the spire 2 is anything like the first game the replayability will be fantastic. I am already seeing some new characters, mechanics, and maps layouts in the trailer. If you like deck builders and rough likes this games is something you’ll want to check out.

Crosswind

Does anyone remember the old Pirates of the Caribbean Online game? This games remind me of that. Think see of thieves and skull and bones but more survival, what looks to be better ship combat, and more mmo elements. It’s looks to be what Skulls and bones could have been. This game has been in my sights for a while and I’m excited to give it a try.
